8 Months

This is what we're using for a high chair, for now! You finally cut your first teeth, your bottom two came in together! (You can't really see them in this picture, but they are there.) It was a rough time for you, about two weeks before they cut through, your mouth hurt so much that you cried every time I nursed you.
You are really getting attached to your binkies, and you know exactly where to find them. You got them out of their little washing box right after I snapped this picture.
I LOVE to peek in on you sleeping. I probably do it every nap, and every night. You move all over your crib.
For awhile, we had the DVD player, the VCR, and the cable box on the floor. Your FAVORITE thing to do was to sit (and climb) all over them. I covered them up with a blanket, which turned it into a chair that you like to sit on. Every day.

And lest people don't believe me, this is how well you were walking at 8 months old:

7 Months old

You have always loved piano pedals. I'm not sure why.
Look how cute you are with little piggies and bows in your hair!!

You are adjusting well to your new life in Vegas. We finally got you sleeping through the night (from 7 p.m to 8 a.m! I feed you at midnight to give you some extra calories.) I just can't believe how fun and adorable you are at this age!
You love to giggle and play:

Crawling on the bed in your room is another favorite pastime (Grandma Ruth made the Hawaiian Quilt!) You are so funny, you like to put your head down when you crawl on it...maybe a little scalp massage?

I'm not sure what Daddy's feeding you here, but it must have been a little sour.

And perhaps most amazing of all, you are already walking! You started by standing and walking around the coffee table, and then by seven and a half months you could take six steps on your own. Grandma Bigler says Daddy walked at 7 months, but I didn't believe it til I saw you ready to go!!!

6 Months Old

You turned 6 months old the day before we left Hawaii, and moved to Las Vegas. We had a friend take these 6 month pictures of you, and these are some of my favorites.
You were pretty tired, and not feeling very smiley, but of course you loved the water, as always!!

You also got your shots before you left...and you screamed BLOODY MURDER! Of course you recovered quickly, but even the nurse was a little shocked at the loud, shrill screams you were letting out. I hate seeing it, but I know it's for your own good.
Weighing in at 17 lbs! You are so active that your weight is slowing down a bit, but you are still in the 95th percentile for height!

5 1/2 Months Old

You learned how to crawl just after you turned 5 months old! About a week later, we found you standing in your crib. It didn't take you long to figure it out.
You immediately moved onto the next challeng, CLIMBING, and that has been your favorite thing to do for quite some time now. This is the first time I caught you doing it. Unfortunately you fell a lot in the early days...and we didn't have carpet, just concrete and lineoleum to break your fall. You learned quickly though! I should clarify, you learned HOW to fall. You would catch yourself with your elbow or side, and you stopped bonking your poor head all the time. I still had to watch you, cause you were all over the place! And we were trying so hard to pack up...but you were so cute always trying to escape outside!

We took you to the beach as many times as we could in our last month there. Here you are with your little buddy Jack Clark (you like to rough him up). You were both eating sand too.and Daddy of course had you try out a surfboard. And when we took you to Waimanlo, you were crawling all over the place, and a big wave came and pushed you right into the ground. So we took you in the ocean and played catch with you, and everyone was so impressed about how happy you were in the ocean!
