You're already three months old, and I can barely believe how fast the time has flown by. You have brought so much joy in our lives, and we just love you to PIECES!! Let's back up a little:
You were born two days before your due date. I was in labor ALL day on the 23rd (Daddy's birthday), and we thought you'd share birthdays, but then it took SO long to get you out here! You were a little traumatized from the long labor, the hours of pushing, the meconium, and everything else, but you were still BEAUTIFUL when you were born! I didn't get to hold you until about 4 hours after you were born, but Daddy had taken some pictures of you right after the c-section.
Since we are all sharing a tiny one-bedroom apartment, you ended up sleeping in bed with us. We had a bassinet close by, but in the middle of the night it was so easy to feed you, and we'd both fall asleep and not wake up until morning . Now, three months later, I can't hardly sleep without snuggling up to you. (We both sleep much better when we're together!)
You slept a LOT the first month. I called Grandma Karen one day, worried, because you were sleeping TOO MUCH, I thought!! I tried to keep you awake, but you were so tired, you'd fall asleep everywhere, like in these pictures (these were all in one day):

NOW, however, you don't like to sleep AT ALL! You fight it with everything you've got. Especially between 8 p.m. and 1 a.m. I guess you just want to spend time with mom and dad. But I have cried many-a-times out of frustration. So have you. Sometimes I even have to leave the house because I can't bear to let you "cry it out", which sometimes we have to do, when nothing else works. Right now it's just after midnight, and you WILL NOT GO TO BED. Daddy's been trying to get you to sleep. It's probably my turn now. (Well, I can thank you for this: You like to SLEEP IN!! Me too.)
