Wide Eyed

Now that you're getting more rested, you seem to take in the world even MORE than before! Ever since you were a newborn, whenever we take you out, we hear two things:

"She's SOOOO cute!"
and
"She's so ALERT!!"

Everybody notices how alert you are. We notice too. Everything is a wonderment to you, and it's so fun to take you places because you just drink it all in. Yesterday it started raining outside, so I took you to the screen door, and let you look out. This is the cute look on your face as you looked outside:Once the rain stopped, I took you outside, and you looked at everything that way. The people jogging by, the cars, the bikes, the plants, the trees. I walked you around our apartment building, and it was so fun watching you look at things. You stared at a Banana tree for the longest time. I just wish I knew what was going on in your head.

You're gotten really good at using your feet, in all kinds of situations. And you also have started sucking your thumb a little. Here's a picture of you doing both. And yes, if you look close, you might just see a streak of poop across your forehead. I'm not sure how that got there and I don't want to know. I was letting you have some naked time to air out that little bum.
